Business Outreach & Ethics Committee

Ethics in Business - Vision for Rotary

1.                 Membership of the Club does not match the demographics of the business
community in
Garland.

2.                 No Rotary services in Garland include ethics support to businesses.

3.                 Club does not record or know the “Ethics in Business” needs in Garland.

Proposed New Service Offering:

A.                A business outreach and ethics committee has been formed to provide business ethics services to businesses in the community; upon request.

B.                First action is to conduct interviews of “Ethics in Business – Garland” to determine the need and scope of service requirements in the community.

C.                Outcome of the “audit” will help the club recognize businesses where the ethics culture is equal to or better than the Four-Way Test.
(Plaques, Ceremony at Meeting, etc.)

D.               We will prepare Leader Coaching, One Time Ethics Presentations & Training Program options to be given to businesses upon request as a service to the business community.

     Additional Benefits to the Rotary:

E.                An extra benefit to Rotary is the identification of highly ethical business leaders who should be invited to join Rotary; (either club of the two in Garland.)

F.                 If warranted, identify businesses to club officers where additional care is needed should membership applications come from people in those businesses.
